Our pilot is fully BNUC-S qualified (including night flying & EVLOS), adhering to strict safety and operational rules. We are experienced in operating in a wide variety of locations including flying over water, mountainous terrain, urban areas, sports events, indoors and even at night in the dark.

We are very much at home working on broadcast film and television productions, our drone footage has been used by the TV companies including BBC, ITN, ITV News, SKY, Discovery, National Geographic, Euronews , Channel 4 and Channel 5. We have shot aerial drone video that has been used on BBC documentaries, films, news, viral video and TV adverts, including National Geographic’s ‘ Europe from Above’ and Channel 5’s ‘ Worlds Most Scenic Railway Journeys’. Crucially, Hovershotz are the only drone operator in Cumbria, Lancashire & the Lake District licenced to fly & operate at night – crucial for unfolding live news events or film crews wishing to add aerial filming at night. Our equipment is of the highest film & broadcast quality and capable in filming in up to 5.2K CineDNG or Apple ProRes Codecs.

Hovershotz location scouts – being based in Cumbria and native to the Lake District, Hovershotz are able to help with location scouting and gaining permissions to film with drones in the Lake District national park or on National Trust land.
